The property deed was recorded in both Anderson and Knox County. At the time she purchased the lot, it was assessed in Anderson County. By doing her due diligence, she, as a lawyer, should have noticed this. Anyhoo, as you say; there is a little known state law that says, if a property has paid property taxes in a county for five years or more, the state board of equalization has no jurisdiction to change the boundary. Therefore, the only solution, for Mrs. Breeding, is to have the state legislature change the boundary.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
